Parents can take their children to visit Father and Mother Christmas for free in King’s Lynn this November and December. Their grotto will be situated in 22 New Conduit Street and will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 27th November. They will also be in their grotto for the last three Thursdays leading up to Christmas.
Abbie Panks, Vancouver Quarter Centre Manager, said: “This is the third year we have run a free grotto for children in this format and last year over 1,000 children visited Father and Mother Christmas for free. “From the centre’s point of view, it’s wonderful that we are able to spread a little Christmas cheer to so many. “We’ve spoken with Mother and Father Christmas ahead of their visit to King’s Lynn and they tell us they would also love the children who visit them to bring a picture they have drawn to put up in their grotto.” “I would encourage people to visit the dedicated grotto page on our website quickly to secure a slot and then plan the rest of their day in King’s Lynn, perhaps taking in the Lynn Lumiere light shows ahead of Christmas.” As well as talking to Father and Mother Christmas, children will also receive a small gift. The grotto follows on from a year of free events for families including the recent Halloween spooktacular, Fairytales and Legends, photoshoots before Valentine’s and Mothering Sunday, the King’s Lynn Community Bunting project, spitfire trail mosaic workshops, and Easter Saturday workshops.
