A new room equipped with the latest technology is transforming the training of staff at an award-winning home care company. The facility offers a hybrid of a studio and traditional training room at the Broadland office of Extra Hands, providing for remote learning as well as face-to-face training.

Children at Clenchwarton Primary School took part in a mega maths day to help raise funds for charity. Pupils dressed up in costumes with a maths-related theme for the NSPCC’s annual Number Day. The children were invited to support the charity by making a small donation, with the school raising a total of £103. Children at a North Shields primary school have brought joy and ‘happy tears’ to NHS staff by writing touching letters to thank them for their work. The project at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, in Cullercoats, was inspired by Year 2 pupils learning about the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale. A significant milestone has been reached for the new Merstham Park School with a ceremony held to mark the last of the building’s modules being installed. The final fit out and site works for the multi-million pound school near Reigate in Surrey is now under way, with the brand new premises scheduled to be opened in time for the new academic year in September. Pupils at a North Shields primary organised a march inspired by the COP26 climate summit to highlight their concerns about the future of the planet. Children at St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School wanted to carry on raising awareness of environmental issues following the major summit of world leaders last year. Sixth form students at a Wisbech academy have been learning life-saving skills alongside their usual studies. None of the group had administered first aid before taking part in a special course which taught them a range of skills from CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) to the Heimlich manoeuvre - used to clear airways of people choking. |
