Ball gowns, black ties and a touch of glamour were all on display as Springwood High School leavers enjoyed their Prom Night at a landmark hotel. The jubilant A Level students marked their successes with a special evening at the Duke’s §Head in King’s Lynn and the class of 23 came together for one final time before dispersing to different universities, apprenticeships or careers.

Staff and students at Aureus School were celebrating after the Class of 2023 achieved some outstanding GCSE results, with 42 per cent gaining Grades 9 to 4 and 4 per cent Grades 9 to 7. A fifth of all English results (20 per cent) at the Didcot school were graded between 9 and 7, along with over a quarter (27 per cent) of all Biology grades. Students at Hunstanton's Smithdon High School have been celebrating after receiving record GCSE results this year. The school, which is a member of the West Norfolk Academies Trust, received its best ever exam results, with the Class of 2023 achieving grades almost 10 per cent above the 2019 results. A headteacher has praised students for achieving “strong results”, as the 2023 cohort at The Beacon celebrate their GCSE successes, with almost 20 per cent of all grades awarded at 9 to 7. This year’s results at the school, a member of the GLF Schools Multi Academy Trust, continued an upward curve which has seen improvements year-on-year since the pre-pandemic era. Staff and students at Meridian School were celebrating as the Class of 2023 achieved the best GCSE results for the past five years. The New Addington high school, which received a Good Ofsted rating in January 2023, saw its highest number of students receive top grades of 9 to 7, with many going on to undertake A Level and Level 3 qualifications at Sixth Form. |
