Students at Rosebery School in Epsom were delighted to receive exceptional GCSE results today, with nearly 20% of entries awarded a Grade 9 and 55% of entries graded 7 to 9, A or better in old money. Amongst the top performers were Libby Horrocks and Sophie Rauch who achieved all grade 9’s including in Further Maths – they received 21 Grade 9s between them. Kathryn Wood also achieved 11 Grade 9s, with Lucy Heylar, Amy Watts, Zoe Seward and Sophie Lomas also achieving 10 Grade 9s. Head of School David Lach said: “I could not be prouder of the Class of 2021, not just because of the outstanding results that they have achieved, but because of the tremendous resilience and determination they have demonstrated to earn these results during a global pandemic. "They are such a talented cohort, who were always going to achieve brilliant outcomes, but have done so having had to cope with school closures, remote learning and uncertainty over exams and final assessments. "They are going to progress to achieve great things in the future and we are pleased that many of them will continue their journey with us at Rosebery School Sixth Form. "I would also like to thank all the staff at the school who have worked incredibly hard to ensure these results were possible in such extraordinary and challenging circumstances.”
