Craft Beer Rising is widely accepted as the country’s number one gathering place for brewers and beer lovers alike, with 155 brewers having their wares on display.
And once again Oakham Ales made a big impact, giving a debut to its new Brut IPA, whilst also continuing the promotion of its recently-launched range of canned beers Best Friend, Thrill Seeker and Alpha Inception, as well as keg and cask brews old and new. The highlight – literally - of the Oakham stand was a dazzling LED light display that drew huge crowds and made the stand one of the festival’s most talked-about and photographed features, attracting attention and customers in equal number. Once drawn in, they were entertained and informed by our brewing director, John Bryan, complete with his white scientist’s coat to reveal some of the science behind the beer, teaching festival-goers about the hops that go into their favourite brews. Nick Jones, Export and Off Trade Manager, said: “This year we wanted to show Oakham’s diversity by bringing beers in different formats: keg, cask, can, as well as different types: IPAs, Pale Ales, Black Beer etc. The Oakham Ales products on display included Green Devil IPA and keg newcomer Brut IPA. On the cask front, the long-established Citra, Blue Skies IPA, Hawse Buckler and Dragon in Bavaria were available, as were the new cans. Juta Hydzik, Marketing Manager added: “We also had something super exciting to attract consumer attention this year – our new shiny LED display left many mesmerised.” The three-day festival at Brick Lane is now an established fixture on the calendar for brewers and beer enthusiasts alike, drawing contributors from all over the world. The mix of exotic food, live music and – all importantly – the finest craft beer from around the globe means Craft Beer Rising is the number one destination for beer aficionados, manufacturers, buyers and sellers. Adrian Posnett, Managing Director said: “Last year we celebrated our 25th birthday. This year’s range of new product launches and dazzling stall ensured that Oakham Ales made a big impression at the first major industry of event of the new year, and demonstrated plenty of reasons to believe that last year’s momentum and success will continue well into 2019.”
