Oakademy success for Oakham

Staff from a number of  pubs in Norfolk  took a rare opportunity to enjoy the view from the other side of the counter as guests at an award-winning brewery’s annual summer gathering.

Each summer Peterborough-based Oakham Ales organise an event for its flagship outlets across the country, giving invitees a chance to catch-up with fellow professionals, and to say thank-you for their continued support.

There were almost 300 guests at the event at Peterborough’s Brewery Tap pub for the brewery’s Oakademy of Excellence, of which the pubs listed below are a member, and the event proved to be a great success.

Oakham’s beers, including JHB, Citra and Bishop’s Farewell have won numerous awards, and can be found on sale in multiple retailers as well as licenced premises across the country.

Oakham formed the Oakademy in 2009 for its permanent stockists as it takes great pride in its products and the outlets that stock them. Oakademy members have full access to all Oakham products including Permanent, Seasonal and Cask Aged beers together with quality point of sale and merchandise and regular visits from their Sales team.

There are currently at total of 375 Oakademy Members across the UK, stretching from Devon to the east coast of Scotland.

Adrian Posnett, managing director at Oakham Ales, was delighted to see representatives from our stockists in Norfolk at the event, and said the Oakademy and its members are a big part of what the company is all about, and play a major role in how it operates.

“Customer service and the personal touch are central to how we run our business at Oakham, so it was great to welcome the Norfolk members to the Oakademy and the Oakham family,” he said.

“We put great emphasis on making sure our customers feel like they have a personal relationship with our staff, not just as product suppliers, so the Oakademy Day is a very important opportunity for everyone to get together face to face, to relax and have a good time. This is our way of letting them know that, and to say thank you to them.”
