Throughout the 1990s, Gladiators was one of the most popular shows on British television, and one of its most recongisable stars – and haircuts - was Gladiator Hunter. But when the Gladiators party ended in January 2000, Hunter, or James Crossley as he is also known, cleared his diary to let down his hair and make up for any lost parties he'd missed during eight years of keeping in tip-top shape. “I didn’t really drink much during Gladiators, just a few glasses of wine, but I became good mates with Gladiator Ace, Warren, who’d just moved to London quite recently,” he said.
“We went out in January … and came back in October! We lived out teenage years. About 80 percent of what we did, I don’t even remember, but we had so much fun!” Gladiator Hunter was talking to the GladPod, presented by Gladiator Jet, aka Diane Youdale, and journalist David Blackmore. Together, they catch up with the biggest names from the era’s biggest show, to lift the lid on life as a Gladiator, and find out what they are up to now. To learn more about how Gladiator Hunter thought his career was over before it began, how he got his Gladiator name and how he ended up in a river on the set of Emmerdale, search and subscribe to the GladPod through your usual podcast suppliers.
