Families are being invited to descend to the heart of King’s Lynn on Saturday 31 October for a Halloween spooktacular. The Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk and the Vancouver Quarter have once again teamed up to celebrate Halloween with a special trail around the town centre. Between noon and 4pm, children and their parents should report to the Halloween HQ on Baxter’s Plain, opposite Argos, Costa Coffee, and Beales, to collect a special Halloween card before making their way around the town centre collecting stickers from some Halloween characters.
Those who collect all the stickers will be rewarded with a goodie bag on their arrival back at Baxter's Plain. They will also be entered into a competition to win a family ticket, two adults and two children between 5 and 15 years, to visit the magical world of Harry Potter with a Warner Bros Studio Tour. Some retailers will also be handing out sweets to children as they make their way around the town centre. Abbie Panks, Vancouver Quarter centre manager, said “This is one of the highlights of the year for the centre and we once again look forward to welcoming hundreds of children to this year’s event. “This free event gets bigger every year and it’s always lovely for us to see so many children dressed up for the occasion and helping to transform King’s Lynn town centre for Halloween. Councillor David Pope, Borough Council Cabinet Member for ICT, Leisure and Public Space, added: “This is another great, free event for King’s Lynn town centre, following on from the summer’s event programme. “I hope many families will come into town and get into the ‘spirit’ of the occasion. We’re all looking forward to seeing the children dressed in the Halloween costumes. And if that’s not enough, one lucky family will win tickets for a Warner Bros Studio Tour to discover the magical world of Harry Potter. What better way is there to celebrate Halloween?”
