Children can decorate a plant pot and fill it with soil and a plant for their Mum during a free workshop being held in the Vancouver Quarter ahead of Mother’s Day. The workshop will be situated in the former Calendar Club unit next to Costa Coffee and opposite Wilkinson on New Conduit Street and run from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 5 March. Once the plant pots are decorated, they will be filled with soil and a plant.
“Our Mother’s Day workshop will be ensure kids have a fun-filled time in the heart of King’s Lynn,” centre manager Abbie Panks said. “This workshop is designed to bring some fun to the town centre but will also give parents some free activities to do with their children whilst also supporting the town centre. Please don’t delay in making your booking as we anticipate this workshop being fully booked up in the days leading up to Mother’s Day.” The workshop came after more than 30 families attended a special free Mother’s Day photoshoot in the Vancouver Quarter on Saturday 20 February. “We were delighted at the success of the photo shoot – it was a brilliant way for people to have their photo taken for free and we were so pleased with the take up from the public,” she said. “What was particularly pleasing was that it was fully booked the day we announced it, which shows there is huge demand for people wanting to have their picture taken by a professional. “There will be plenty of other free events in the Vancouver Quarter this year, including the return of our very popular Halloween event and Christmas Grotto. Next up will be free Easter activities at the end of the month. Follow us on Twitter, like our page on Facebook and keep an eye on our website for details of events when they are confirmed. Places need to be booked in advance as there are only limited places available. Reserve your place here. If you have any questions about either workshop email [email protected]
