Rosebery School could not be prouder of the class of 2022, who after two years of significant and unprecedented disruption, have seen their hard work, dedication and resilience rewarded with an exceptional set of A Level results today. 43% of all entries were graded A* or A, which is significantly higher than when exams were last sat in 2019, and 85% of all entries were graded A* to C. On a morning where there is much to celebrate, it is noteworthy that all of our A Level Music students achieved an A*, nearly half of our Sociology and PE students were graded at A* with a further 11 A*s awarded in Psychology and 10 A*s in Mathematics. Similar numbers of top grades were also achieved in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
These outstanding results have ensured that the vast majority of Rosebery students have been able to progress to their university course of choice or their preferred degree level apprenticeship, including Oxbridge, a swathe of Russell Group Universities and a range of leading UK and International firms. Of particular note was the performance of Sophie Benson who achieved A*s in all 4 of her A Level subjects, Lila Nunns who secured 3 A*s and A and Ophelia Cornwall, Harriet Humfress, Freya Vamos and Priya Watkinson who also achieved straight A*s in each of their subjects; a quite remarkable achievement. 26 students achieved all A* and A grades in their chosen subjects. Head of School, David Lach, was also keen to praise the efforts of teaching and associate staff at Rosebery, a member of Glyn Learning Foundation, who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, and have consistently gone above and beyond, to ensure that the students in the class of 2022 were able to secure these exceptional and well deserved results.
