Staff at Extra Hands home care have been busy baking for the annual event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and their efforts proved popular at the gathering held at Heacham Church Rooms.
“We had a wonderful morning in Heacham and it was nice to enjoy a cuppa and cake while helping a great charity,” said manager Lynda Hilliard. “It is the latest in a number of events we have hosted this year to ensure our older residents, service users, friends and families have the chance to socialise and chat with other people,” she added. The coffee morning offered plenty of choice for visitors and the array of tasty cakes proved to be incredibly popular and a total of £150 was collected for the charity by Extra Hands, which also held an event at its offices at Horsham St Faith. The Extra Hands Heacham office was rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission earlier this year and the multi-award winning family-run company provides services across the county. It is the sixth year Extra Hands, with offices in Heacham and Horsham St Faiths, has taken part in the Macmillan coffee morning and the event was one of a number organised during the year so far to raise money for charity while bringing service users together for a social event. The company offers a range of packages supporting independence, from brief well-being checks to multiple daily home calls to clients who need more help.
