![]() Pupils at Pine Ridge and Lorraine Infant Schools have this week been celebrating their unique strengths and differences. Activities at the schools, which are both members of multi-academy Trust GLF Schools, ranged from whole school assemblies focusing on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia and dyspraxia to classroom-based sessions looking at different emotions and reactions.

Whyteleafe Primary School, a member of the multi-academy GLF Trust, has received the Angel Award from Surrey Young Carers for the work it has put into demonstrating the school is young carer friendly. ![]() Literary characters were brought to life as pupils and staff at Meridian High (New Addington) and Hillcroft (Caterham), both members of GLF Schools, celebrated the 25th anniversary of World Book Day. ![]() Literary characters were brought to life at six Surrey schools, each a member of GLF Schools, as pupils and staff at Banstead Infants, The Vale (Epsom), Salfords, Hillcroft (Caterham), Cordwalles (Camberley), Pine Ridge & Lorraine (Camberley) celebrated the 25th anniversary of World Book Day. ![]() A coven of witches, a Mad Hatter, and Cruella de Vil were some of the characters brought to life at Merstham Park School today. Staff dressed up as a range of literary characters from the Great Gatsby to the world of Roald Dahl, which has followed a variety of literary based activities throughout this week. ![]() A significant milestone has been reached for the new Merstham Park School with a ceremony held to mark the last of the building’s modules being installed. The final fit out and site works for the multi-million pound school near Reigate in Surrey is now under way, with the brand new premises scheduled to be opened in time for the new academic year in September. ![]() Leaders at a Surrey school work tirelessly to help pupils achieve and have high expectations for every child, according to Ofsted inspectors. Children at Marden Lodge Primary School and Nursery, Caterham, look forward to attending and the school’s leadership and management has been rated as outstanding with particular praise for changes which have been made. ![]() Students at Rosebery School in Epsom were delighted to receive exceptional GCSE results today, with nearly 20% of entries awarded a Grade 9 and 55% of entries graded 7 to 9, A or better in old money. Amongst the top performers were Libby Horrocks and Sophie Rauch who achieved all grade 9’s including in Further Maths – they received 21 Grade 9s between them. ![]() There were smiles at Glyn School in Epsom this morning when students collected their GCSE results. High achievers included Yang Liu who achieved 10 9s, and Kieran Meah who received eight 9s and one 8. Yang said: “I am pretty excited about my results. I did not think I would get 9’s in everything”. Kieran added: “I am over the moon. I didn’t expect so many 9s. I am so happy because I worked so hard”. |
