Staff and students at Meridian School were celebrating as the Class of 2023 achieved the best GCSE results for the past five years. The New Addington high school, which received a Good Ofsted rating in January 2023, saw its highest number of students receive top grades of 9 to 7, with many going on to undertake A Level and Level 3 qualifications at Sixth Form.

There was a real cause for celebration at Glyn School today as students collected their GCSE results. Despite interruptions to their studies due to the Covid pandemic, the Class of 2023 achieved solid results, winning praise from Jo Garrod, Head of School at Glyn, a member of the GLF Multi-Academies Trust. There was a lot to celebrate at de Stafford school today when an excellent set of GCSE results landed. The strength of the results saw the school, a member of GLF Schools, improve on key headline measures, with good progress in the number of students achieving strong passes in both English and Maths. There were celebrations at Glyn School, Ewell, today when students collected their A Level results and discovered many of them achieved top A* and A grades. The outstanding results saw 20 per cent of the school’s A Level students receive A* to A grades and 46 per cent A* to B, while 70 per cent achieved A* to C, and 33 per cent of BTEC students obtained a Distinction or Distinction*. Staff and students alike were celebrating as A Level results were revealed this morning at The Beacon School, Banstead - a member of GLF Schools. A Banbury primary school could be rated ‘outstanding’ in a full Ofsted inspection according to a report published last week. Hardwick Primary School, a member of GLF Schools Multi-Academy Trust, has ‘exceptionally high expectations’ of children from the nursery through to Year 6 and it has retained its Good rating from Ofsted. Top names from the world of cricket swapped their bats for clubs to take part in a special golf day which raised almost £4,000 to help students at more than 40 schools. The GLF Schools’ Foundation Fundraising and Awareness Golf day was hosted by Cuddington Golf Club in Surrey where county and national past and present cricketers Will Jacks, Rory Burns, Tom Lawes and Chris Tremlett were among players who teed-off. |
