Rosebery School could not be prouder of the class of 2022, who after two years of significant and unprecedented disruption, have seen their hard work, dedication and resilience rewarded with an exceptional set of A Level results today. 43% of all entries were graded A* or A, which is significantly higher than when exams were last sat in 2019, and 85% of all entries were graded A* to C.

Sixth formers are celebrating after they achieved what their headteacher described as the school’s ‘best ever’ A level results. The students at Thomas More Catholic High School in North Shields, which is a member of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust, achieved top grades across all subjects, with 48 per cent of grades A* or A and 90 per cent A* to C. Newcastle’s students may have gone through difficult times when their education was affected by the pandemic, but it didn’t stop them from achieving some outstanding results in their A Levels. The students at St Mary’s, which is a member of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust, are celebrating a 100 per cent pass rate, with 39 per cent of A Level results an A or A*, 67 per cent A* to B, and 86 per cent A* to C. Students at The Beacon in Banstead are celebrating the best ever GCSE results.
Some 73 per cent of students gained their English and maths, the first time the school has gone over the 70 per cent mark. Records have also been set with a number of subjects doubling their top grades compared to 2019. |
