Wisbech academy's long service awards

There was a very special celebration at a Wisbech academy just before it broke-up for the summer holidays.

Staff at the Thomas Clarkson Academy with a total of  more than 500 years’ combined experience were invited to a special event hosted by Dr Andrew Campbell, Chief Executive of the Brooke Weston Trust which the academy belongs to.

All of them have worked with the academy for ten years or more, and six of them have been at the academy for 20 years or more. 

They were all presented with a commemorative certificate and are now officially members of the inaugural ‘10 Years Plus Club 2024’ and have the pin badges to show it.

Staff who received their membership were: Miss Fisher (36 years) , Mrs Samantha Anderson (28) , Mrs Alex Salmon (27), Mrs Michelle Phoenix (25), Ms Karen Morris (24), Mrs Lisa Tarsitano (20), Mrs Janice Trenoweth (19), Mrs Kate Allgood (19), Mrs Sue Broddle (18 and now retired), Mrs Jelena Tjurina (18), Mrs Sarah Loosemoore (17), Mrs Christine Worrallo (18), Mrs Jacqueline Kendal (16), Miss Lindsay Walpole (16),  Ms Kerry Bowen (14), Mrs Laura Heasell (14), Mrs Tanya Holland (14), Miss Leanne Robinson (14), Miss Amy Anderson (13), Mr David Bliss (13), Mrs Michaela Adams (12). Mr Paul Chapman (12), Mrs Sharon Doyle (12), Mrs Deborah Linnett (12), Miss Kirstie Smith (12), Mrs Charlotte Turner (11), Mr Stephen Aspland (11), Ms Clarissse Njingo (11), Mrs Paula Page (11), Mrs Preetha Raj (11), Mrs Hayley Rollings (11), Miss Anne Rose (11), Mrs Claire Ziebart (11), Sadie Cooper (11), Mrs Nicola Dodd (10) and Mrs Tania Wilkes (10).

In total, 562 years of combined service was celebrated by staff who reached the milestone before the end of the academic year.

“It’s phenomenal that so many people in this organisation have given so much of their lives to it. You really are at the forefront of what education is meant to be about,” said Dr Campbell who was also recognised for his 28 years service at the Trust’s Brooke Weston Academy in Northamptonshire.
