Students at Rosebery School in Epsom were delighted to receive exceptional GCSE results today, with nearly 20% of entries awarded a Grade 9 and 55% of entries graded 7 to 9, A or better in old money. Amongst the top performers were Libby Horrocks and Sophie Rauch who achieved all grade 9’s including in Further Maths – they received 21 Grade 9s between them. There were smiles at Glyn School in Epsom this morning when students collected their GCSE results. High achievers included Yang Liu who achieved 10 9s, and Kieran Meah who received eight 9s and one 8. Yang said: “I am pretty excited about my results. I did not think I would get 9’s in everything”. Kieran added: “I am over the moon. I didn’t expect so many 9s. I am so happy because I worked so hard”. There were celebrations at Springwood High School this morning when students arrived to collect their GCSE results. High-performing students included Anoushka Chandrasekar and Merissa Lawrence who both achieved 11 grade 9s while Karishhma Srikantha picked up 10 grades 9s and one grade 8, and Fatima Massawi obtained nine grade 9s and two grade 8s as well as Alisha Gail Bedeser who was celebrating nine grade 9s, one Distinction, and one grade 8. George Willingham, Gemma Rumsey, Charly Spurge, and Tracy Xue were amongst the school's top achievers. Sixteen-year-old George is setting out on his road to becoming a doctor after securing eight 9s and three 8s. He will be going to Springwood next month to study his A levels before hopefully heading to medical school. There were celebrations today at De Stafford, part of Glyn Learning Foundation, as students collected their GCSE results. The following students received a high proportion of the top grades; Fatima Elbasir, Sam Murphy, Josh Murphy, Leonor Pereira, Jessica Ankers, Liberty Thompson, Lottie Cooper-Beirne, Megan Thomas, Lucy Spurgin, Katie Conway and Ammon Read. The Mad Hatter met steampunk on the roof of a Land Rover at a West Norfolk school when students arrived for their belated prom night. Springwood High School Year 11 didn’t fail to impress the gathered wellwishers when they arrived at the school for a red carpet event in a marquee specially erected in the school grounds. |
